Toshirou gets more than just candy when he smiles. Jushirou has found in the young helmsman a true friend that he has not had since days long past. He was purposely distant with most of the crew given his past and his nature as a double agent for the Silvana, but he somehow allowed himself to get close to Toshirou.

Toshirou would be the only person Jushirou would truly miss...good thing he won't be alone, eh?

Hei-chan, along with the other samurai, are the people on the crew of the 4423 that Jushirou finds himself best able to communicate with given he shares many of their ideals. It pains him that he's had to be so secretive with them, and he can only hope they'll be understanding when he finally leaves the ship and comes clean with the entire crew.

Hei-chan in particular is the sort of guy Jushirou loves having around. Their personalities just mesh well, given they both have a penchant to be outwardly cheerful. Jushirou finds Hei and Toshirou's friendship to be precious as well, and wants them to keep it for as long as they are able...mostly because Jushirou wholly believes in the hasting of his own death be it by disease or an Ivonan firing squad.

And when that truth comes out, Heihachi is going to regret not spending more time with him. 8( On the other hand, Heihachi will definitely be keeping in touch with Toshirou so they may still have oppertunities to talk over the network? He'll want a chance to revise his first opinion and see more of Jushirou as he really is.

WELL Jushirou really is a nice guy at the core. He's only secretive because of the nature of his work, yo. He WANTS to be nicer, but knows it will compromise his identity and his position, yo.

Kambei:

He really wishes they could have met on different terms as they are not unlike one another. But Jushirou has recognized Kambei's suspicions of him and strongly suspects his blade has been bought to bring him back to Ivona. For this, he will always keep the other at a distance.

Kiros:

When Jushirou met Kiros, he saw a man at the same turning point Jushirou once stood on in his youth. He wants Kiros to make the right decisions and not take a path leading to ruin. Given that, once Jushirou realizes Kiros joined his crew, he's likely going to take Kiros under his wing as a student of sorts.
